Fuel surcharge

Fuel surcharge for international express shipments.

This fee varies and is determined once a month. Fuel price reductions can lead to a decrease or even elimination of the surcharge.

This surcharge applies to the net shipping cost of your shipment, as well as related transportation services and other surcharges.

The fuel surcharge will be displayed separately on your invoice.

The fuel surcharge is adjusted monthly and will take effect on the first day of each month. The fuel surcharge will be applied based on the information published on the official SF website.

The fuel surcharge is based on the fuel prices of the U.S. Gulf Coast (USGC), as published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) for the most recent two months. For example, the surcharge applied in June 2019 is based on the rounded figures from the USGC fuel prices published by the EIA in April 2019. Please refer to the EIA’s fuel surcharge webpage for more information.

If you have a number of UPS accounts, the fuel surcharge will be included in your invoice. If you are an occasional UPS customer, the fuel surcharge will be included in your charges.

This surcharge varies and is determined weekly. Fuel discounts may result in a reduction or even the absence of a surcharge.

The fuel surcharge rate for FedEx Express® services is adjusted.
